• With feedback from our Tribe, and public response, it was requested that we make another smaller blade. This blade system, with integrative combatives & tactics in mind, was designed for a 3-finger grip to allow the hand to firmly grip your firearms with your thumb and forefinger confidently and securely.
• The Fledgling, like its parent blade Crane's Beak, is a blade optimally designed for puncturing power. The major difference between the two is its overall size being much more ideally suited to covert and discreet concealed carry. We've extensively tested its penetrating powers through various materials, and can state that organic materials, and withdrawal from, is a non-issue. One of our pre-production models has been dropped on concrete in multiple demonstrations tip-first and took no noticeable tip damage and was left 100% serviceable.
• Additionally, we spent quite a bit of man-hours developing a deep pocket sheath, and we think once you get your hands on it, you'll realize its full potential, as its design streamlines super discreet carry and silent & smooth deployment.
• Our full package is an operative system; the Trainer being very hi-viz to minimize mistakes in training, and when the Trainer is in your live sheath, it stands out because of the stark color contrast. No more driving home with a training blade where your live blade should be because they feel so similar otherwise. Also, the blaze orange handle and bright blade indicate to your brothers that you are ready to train.
Specifications Overall length: 7.000" Blade length: 3.500" Blade constitution:
• Live blade: 3/16" 52100 HC steel
• Trainer: 3/16" t-6061 Aluminum
Handle: coarse textured G10]]>

Crane’s Beak https://schultzbladeworks.com/product/cranes-beak/ https://schultzbladeworks.com/product/cranes-beak/#comments Sun, 07 Apr 2019 15:00:59 +0000 https://schultzbladeworks.com/?post_type=product&p=94 Sinister, serving as a more focused intent to puncture, and post-penetration leveraging. Although narrow from a profile viewpoint, the blade is thick (3/16") and quite easily passes through material(s) that would otherwise stop a wider blade. This design mimics the evolutionary design of a white crane's actual beak, which they rely heavily on to spear food, then shake viciously so that they may safely consume it. Cranes are one of the few species that are selective of their mates, and mate with that chosen one for life. The handle's profile is more than adequate to mate this blade to your hand, but we've gone several steps beyond to ensure grippy-ness when needed and to provide haptic-feedback of the tip's condition and location. When this blade is needed, you too will know its mated to you for your life. sin·is·ter
/ˈsinistər/
adjective
late Middle English (in the sense ‘malicious, underhand’): from Old French sinistre or Latin sinister ‘left’.
The blade that engendered the rest. Born of fire, with applied pressure, diligence, and attention to detail, the Riddle of Steel produced Sinister. As a lifelong martial arts practitioner, I was carrying a Buck folding knife at a very young age and have carried/used some sort of blade since. Almost four decades later, the current lineup of blades (Dexter and Crane's Beak) were brought into existence built upon the principled structure of that training, along with the uniquely deep understanding of the human body, its mechanics and its ergonomics. Purposefully crafted as a left-handed, reverse-grip blade, Sinister checked every box needed for EDC. If you had to only carry ONE blade, Sinister is it. Nothing in this blade system is happenstance: it's length based on natural anatomical proportions, the thickness to support its edge (but not impede slicing through organic & synthetic materials), the tip angle for maximum penetration while not being so thin that is can no longer slice, down to the invisible handle pins (to reduce eye catching reflections), and sheath & clip selection (best on the market), This. is. it. Dexter Training Package https://schultzbladeworks.com/product/dexter/ https://schultzbladeworks.com/product/dexter/#comments Fri, 22 Mar 2019 20:05:45 +0000 https://schultzbladeworks.com/?post_type=product&p=77 ALL NEW FULL TRAINING PACKAGE!

• We've added a Dexter training blade (and sheath), made from 6061 aluminum, so that you can really lean-in to blade training.
• The trainer is hi-viz, reducing any mistakes of live blades on the floor.
• When the trainer is on-body, your live, lo-viz blade lives in the orange training sheath, helping remind you at the end of training to switch out your gear.
• VERY competitive pricing.

• Unique forward cant aligns the blade naturally in-hand, optimal for thrusting & puncturing. If you can point at it, you can place the tip on it.
• Large palm swell fills the hand correctly; providing solid contact with the base of the palm for 100% power transfer. This also provides reverse power assist when withdrawing the blade from organic media.
• Blade-side & spine finger choils create an additional stop when pressure needs be applied to the tip.
• UPDATE: coarse-checkered handle texture provides extra traction for that secure grip feeling
• In reverse grip (pikal), handle length is designed to permit thumb capping.
• UPDATE: black coated hardware removes eye grabbing visual cues before you're ready to deploy
• Micro eyelets keep the custom sheath minimal.
• Ambidextrous belt-style sheath permits endless carry positions and orientations.
• Heavy-clamping metal clip ensures Dexter will be where you put him when needed.

Designed and created as the functional companion to Sinister, Dexter was intended to be carried on the right side, nodding to the history of the word, in the AIWB or 3 o’clock positions, providing other-hand support for Sinister, otherwise providing rapid access in the event that escalation to a firearm was not a necessary.

Dexter’s form-factor creates an ergonomic hand-weld, seamlessly mating the blade with all the facets of the hand; additionally making positive contact with all the correct structures in the hand enhancing force for slashing and puncturing. This small blade is weighted with a handle-bias, which makes articulation of the tip as controllable as a surgeon’s scalpel. The unique handle geometry, with the “rock texture” grip, keeps the blade in-hand, even if your grip is not 100%, as can sometimes happen under stress, and more importantly, adds a unique feeling of traction for deployment.

Dexter, with its small footprint and it’s ambidextrous sheath, has evolved from its original design and can be mounted almost anywhere: on your belt, in your pocket, in a backpack/MOLLE, and even clamped on to a t-shirt thanks to the Discreet Carry Concepts clip. LEO, military, EMT, Operator, EP, this blade is ideal for you. Although fabricated with a very specific intent, Dexter is the perfect blade to accompany you every single day no matter your mission.
